He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. Psalm 91:1

I reached a complete impasse yesterday in my job. The two people who I needed to resolve a problem and meet a pending deadline were not available. I had no idea what to do. I was helpless to get the job done by myself.

I prayed, “Father, I’ve done all that I can do. I need your help now or I will fail. For Your glory Lord, please find a way for this problem to be resolved.” After silently praying I sat back in my chair, sighed a deep breath, and felt a peaceful calm that I hadn’t felt all that day.

A minute later the instant messenger on my PC lit up with a message from one of the people that I had been desperately trying to reach. I was excited, but I still knew that without the other person I would still be sunk. Her help was now less likely because she was in India where it was now late at night.

Another minute later I received an email from guess who? My helper who lives in India! She had just gotten home and thought she would check in to see how the day was progressing before she went to bed. An absolute miracle had just occurred! Thank You Jesus!

I must tell you that I was grinning ear to ear as I recounted this story to our management team today. I hope that they too will be able to cry out to the Lord in prayer and see for themselves that He truely is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

Father God, I thank you for the secret place of safety and security that You constantly provide for me in this world. Thank You for Your Spirit who leads me daily to the calm and peace under Your shadow. Truly I am blessed by the Living God who knows me by my name.
